Who would like to try
If you didn’t know, all golf balls in Europe used to be English size. A fraction smaller than the American size that is now the standard.
We still have production tooling and want to know if people would like to try the original size balls which at 1.62” (41mm) in diameter. goes further.
Years ago it was pushed out by it’s larger American
cousin which at 1.68”(42.6mm) diameter was
said to stand up higher in the grass. Do you believe that?.
The tiny difference of 0.020” (0.5mm) radius enough to make any difference in supporting it higher on the grass?
It sounds like pure marketing nonsense.
The truth of the matter is, market forces ruled the day.
America is a vast market and their top players did not like coming over here having to use the English ball,
because they thought the slightly smaller ball put them at a disadvantage with UK players.
The R & A were weak enough to give in to the pressure and you are stuck with the big ball.
Don’t take our word for it,just use Chatgpt or any other AI.
While you are at it
see what AI says about dimple changes.
Just marketing flannel/bull?
WHY?
to get their hands on your money!
